Removing DOUBT So You Can Earn More In Sales

emmiSKIN, Erase Doubt, Earn More Money

You’ve got a great product. You’ve taken time to learn about it and you believe in it. Now you’re ready to start selling, right? Wrong.

If you want to reach your sales goals, no wait, blow away your sales goals, then you need to take a moment and do a doubt check. Self-doubt is a destructive force in any career. One of the traits that adds to its destructiveness is that most people have lived with doubt so long it infects their careers without them even realizing it. They make decisions based on it, allow it to color their presentations and workplace interactions, and they under earn. All of this occurs often without self-doubt being recognized as the destructive force that is piece by piece dismantling dreams.

Even an ambitious woman with a clear focus can get off track thanks to self-doubt, so if you want to make the dollars really flow into your life, stop for a minute. Make list of beliefs about yourself, i.e. your strengths and weaknesses. Most importantly ask yourself the following:

  • What are my sales goals?
  • Do I truly believe I can accomplish them?
  • Do I truly believe I’m worthy of earning that much money?
  • What doubts do I have about this situation and what beliefs are they based upon?
  • What has stopped me in the past from earning that much money?

Be honest when you answer the above questions. Now take the above questions and do the following:

  1. Raise the sales goals you’ve set.
  2. Review past successes you’ve had and successes that other people have had with this product. Your past successes prove that you can do it, and if other people can succeed you can succeed with this product.
  3. Declare your worthiness. You and you alone have the right to do this. No one can take it away from you or undermine you without your permission and from this point forward in your career, you won’t be granting it anymore.
  4. Your doubts are nothing more than emotional lies. Confront them as such and then replace them with empowering statements.
  5. Make note of what’s stopped you in the past and then take a “no excuses” stance. There is no reason that you cannot earn the sales goals you’ve set.

One final note for success: take time to visualize and feel your success. If you can’t see it and bring it into your mindset as a fact, you’ll always be finding excuses regarding why you’re not reaching your goals.
